Will I still have a criminal record?

I was charged with asssault at the age of 19. I am now 40 years old. Will this show up if I apply for an immigration criminal record check?
Answer:
Yes, all crimional records will show up, whether spent or not. However, so long as you have not been in trouble since, I would hope that they would appreciate you'd done your time and learnt from your mistake.

Good Luck.
Were you tried and convicted? If not, then you record is clean.
did you end up in court for this offence, if yes then it should have wiped out out of the system after 5years, it should still appear as an offence but shouldnt affect you after all these years
If you are thinking about the USA, you must declare all arrests, no matter how old, even if you were not convicted. In case this is for the USA, see the first link below. Fro more genral information see the second link.

If you do not declare, do not be surprised to get refused at your port of entry. Frankly, if you have no other legal issues and it was a simple assault, go ahead and declare it. You will probably get in.

If this is not for the USA just ignore what I've written.
You can apply to the apply for a CRB (criminal record buro) to get a print out of everything that the police have on you. It will cost you 拢10 but it is worth it.

What is on that record is what the immigration office will see.

my boyfriend has a charge of abh on his record from 15 years ago,he had to obtain a visa from the American embassy to go on holiday to the u.s,they let him in to the country with no problems,we have been back a few times.good luck.
go to the local sheriffs office and ask themfor a copy
The conviction is of course now spent and if you have an unblemished record since your application should be dealt with sympathetically. GOOD LUCK !.
