With the smoke ban are you allowed to smoke in your car?

Answer:
yes you can smoke in your own car but not a work vehicle you share with colleagues. you can smoke in your own home, but not if that is someone elses work place ie you have a carer etc. bascially personal space yes, any work or public space no.
protest and smoke everywhere
Is your car a public area?
Yes - for now.
If you use it to make money, ie taxi, courier etc no you are not allowed.

if just you and your car for leisure, yes you can
I should hope so, are they going to take all of our rights away from us? As for company cars, apparently not, as other people may need to use them. I think the no smoking ban is bloody ridiculous, before we know it we will be banned from doing anything. We are heading for a dictatorship if you ask me!
Not unless you open the windows...?!!
Lisa's right - your own car you can, your work car you can, as long as it's only used by you and no one else (and of course, as long as work don't mind), but not if it's a work vehicle that someone else may drive. Also, a works vehicle if someone else is in it. Hmmmm, but what if they smoke? What if it's a company vehicle, that someone else could use, but they smoke too?
So far ,you can,but the nhs wants it banned from smoking in your own car claiming its just as dangerous as using your mobile phone while on the move.also if you live in a council/rented house the council send out circulars telling you not to smoke for 24hrs in the house if you are expecting council workmen in the home to do repairs, etc will be getting somebody bringing out some kind of Hookah Pipe (what the Turks/Egyptians smoke through ) that will fit onto dashboard
is it a work vehicle, or do you use it for work and give other people rides in it?
