There are many unemployed people that would love a job with law enforcement. Building more prisons would not only keep unlawful people off the streets but provide employment for the many people that have lost their jobs when so much industry was sent overseas.
Rebuilding Alcatraz would be a good start.
Good question. From what I understand it's been declared a historic site and as such, it cant be destroyed. There is also something about Native Americans wanting to preserve it.
It would have to be completely torn down and rebuilt because it's completely rotted. The big thing to do now is to build prisons in the middle of a desert. That seems to be working well in Arizona. They use tents instead of buildings. It's so far away from civilization, it's almost impossible to escape from it. I agree we need more prisons, but no one wants them in their neighborhoods.
Because morons like Mayor Bloomberg and liberal idiots wont have truth in sentencing.

By the way Rosie has an armed body guard yet she says the general public should not be afforded the same protection.
If a criminal knows your unarmed then your a target
Think about how many NYC police were arrested using their service firearms to do drug related crimes in New Jersey and Rhode Island and how many people Janet shoot them up Reno massacred (104) and settled an out of court wrongful death action.
