homosexuals que----, ***---- pillow biter, etc.
But ok for people to call obese people fat, whale, pig, etc.
OR. people who wear glass, four eyes, blind. Why isn't name calling for these issues illlegal. Tell me!
Answer:
Illegal in what respect? Are you talking about calling peaople these names in school/at work? If so, it is harrassment to call people offensive names and create a hostile environment. However, it may be sexual harrasment as well to invoke the homosexual-based words, which people are more motivated to deal with.
In public, neither is illegal, unless you are provoking violent reaction or verbally assaulting someone. You have every right to think and say whatever you like.
it is illegal in the form of verbal harassment but most people dont report it
Because sexual orientation is a protected class, while the other things mentioned are not.
Easy Answer: FREE SPEACH
you can say what ever you want without fear of THE GOVERNMENT taking action on you. That does not mean that it is not a stupid thing to say.
people can still boycott you and get angry with you and maybe even hurt you, but you should never be thrown in jail or fined for what you say, unless you threaten harm to people i.e. talk about hijacking a plane or killing a public official to name a few.
When did it become illegal?
I suppose that some still find the word queer offensive, but some use it in their everyday life
ever heard of "Queer as folk"
"Queer eye for the straight guy"
don't tell me this is like the "N" word
you know, a word only certain people can use
It's not illegal, but it's impolite. In all those cases.
PS "Pillow biter"?!
I don't think it is illegal to call some one a queen. Who told you that?
stop whinning you four eyed fat queer! just kidding. I think its weird that we have a double standard for stuff like that too. but if you look at it like most people have the choice to be fat or wear glasses but nobody has the choice to be gay.
