Why is our insurance not free when thos who work for us in OUR governemnt get free insurance paid for by us?

Answer:
Who gets free insurance? The military gets free health care, but that's about it. If you're thinking of government employees, including Congress, they pay health insurance premiums like everyone else whose employer covers them.

If you're asking the larger question of why doesn't everyone have access to free/affordable health care.that's different. And I don't have the answer!
I am a retired federal employee. My insurance was not free when I was working, and it is not free now that I am retired.
Note: some states do provide minimal free health insurance to the employee, but if the employee wants more than the minimum, or wants spouse and family coverage, then that is deducted from the paycheck
Its actually considered to be part of their pay, theoretically if it weren't there, they would be given an amount equal to it in their pay. If you say the words free health insurance, also known as universal health care, in this country you get called a communist or socialist. Most of that has been pushed by the same HMOs who pay their execs salaries you and I can only dream of as they stop paying for cancer care because its gone "overlimit".
We stand 37th in health care one of the lowest in the industrialized world, and the only one that does not cover its own citizens.
when is people going to get it threw there heads that the GOVERNMENT doesnt care about the citizens.the government is out to get for themselves not to help us out..so please stop wondering cuz its not going to change anything..and worry about supporting you and your family.
