Why is there law to allow women to murder their unborn baby's yet no laws for the fathers to protect their

unborn babys.
Answer:
Laws are passed to give politicians something to point to when running for re-election. The abortion laws let pols brag about how much they valued women, and their right to control their bodies. The woman's movement was pressuring pols to act, so they acted- to NOT lose votes. Tough on babies, but they don't vote. As for why fathers lack rights in this area- it's our fault, as a group. Waaaaaaay too many of us are butt heads, and abandon children, and fail to support them. So, men are semi considered scum, as far as family matters go. Scum get little consideration. Now, before you folks jump on me for saying we are not looked at favorably, as men; it wasn't all that long ago that an acceptable term for men was male chauvinist pig.
Men don't give birth.

Like I said in another question, imagine the loopholes such a law would create:

- a rapist can tell his victim to keep the baby.

- a man that a woman was with for a one night stand, or has since separated from, even an abusive man, can tell the woman to keep the baby. Often times, in a last ditch effort for control.

- a woman who would die from giving birth can be told to keep the baby by the father, whose opinion would override that of the doctor's.

Not a good idea.
It is not a man's body, therefore it is not a man's business.
Think of it this way, a man doesn't spend 9 months with something leeching on it, like a parasite. Now, women suffer much more than men do on this account. Unless the man is capable of providing for the kid, then, that's the reason why there are no reason for creating laws like that.
Thats a good point. I guess it really just goes to show that ,laws, no matter how justified can never really contain the human race, it can only help organize it. Laws are meant to help us and every situation is different.
i understand where you're coming from, i had a good friend whose girlfriend got pregnant and she was too selfish to even think about other options. he would have gladly raised that child on his own and was heartbroken when she terminated the pregnancy. but the bottom line is that it's the woman's body, so until men can carry children, women have rights over their body and everything contained within it.
Lil Me makes some valid points, but I can kind of understand if it was the woman's husband or something... or if the man took the case to court and proved himself a fit father. I've got a male friend who always wanted kids and his gf went and had an abortion because she "didn't want to be pregnant." Never mind that my friend would have given his life for that child and taken good care of it...

I've always wondered why they don't allow exceptions.
Because forcing a woman to carry a fetus she doesn't want is slavery.
Because men don't have wombs.
Because women can get pregnant due to rape.
Because men don't die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth.
because men dont give birth and they dont have to carry the baby around for 9 months!!!
