Why is there brail on drive through atm's?

Answer:
The drive through ATM's are the same machine as the walk up ATM. It would not be cost effective to make two different
keypads for the two different machines.

laws are laws. ATM's are made mostly the same no matter where they are to be placed. weather it be on the sidewalk or a drive up one.

Very good question. It is illegal to leave your car at a drive-up ATM and it is also illegal to walk up to a drive-up ATM. Consequently, there is no need for the braille.

However, maybe they are just manufactured that way and it is cheaper to produce them with braille for all the machines rather than make separate skins for the drive-ups. Just a thought.
